About Me

Hello there! I'm Susan Wozniak, the proud owner, designer, planter, and caretaker at Planted Gardening Company. It's a pleasure to connect with you here!

In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter by founding Planted Gardening Company after two decades in the restaurant and beer industry, where I specialized in long-term and financial strategy. My passion for gardening has deep roots, cultivated during my childhood in Colorado on a ranch where I spent countless hours exploring my parents' fields and my grandad's garden.

Over the years, my approach to gardening has evolved. I've immersed myself in the world of native plant gardening, delving into the beauty and biodiversity of Delmarva's native flora. Embracing organic methods, I've explored the intricate relationships between native plants, fostering habitats for local wildlife and promoting environmental sustainability.

Fuelled by my passion for native plant gardening, I've had the privilege of studying Ecological Gardening Techniques at Mt. Cuba Native Garden Center. This has inspired me to expand our services to include not just native plant design, but also meadow work and creating habitats for local wildlife.

I find immense joy in introducing newcomers to the world of native plant gardening, offering guidance to those eager to embrace the beauty and benefits of native plants in their landscapes. Whether you need ongoing support or a helping hand for a temporary period, I'm here to assist you on your gardening journey.

I currently reside in Lewes, Delaware, with my husband, Andrew, and our daughter, June. Living amidst the natural beauty of this coastal town, I find immense joy in reconnecting with nature alongside my family. Together, we embark on outdoor adventures and gardening projects, with each experience serving as a learning opportunity for us all.
